Agility Training: Guest Star: Boots

Saturday I went to visit my friends Boots who is spending a month in a training academy while his human is away on vacation. My human went without me last week, but this week I got to go too! It was so much fun to play on the agility equipment! 

Boots and I had a great time playing together, and the trainer says Boots is doing really well. This training centre is really close to Toegyewon station (pronounced Tay-gay-won) just tell the taxi driver to keep going straight and then once you go over a very tiny bridge the centre is on your left. It’s very easy to spot from the road and it only costs us $9 in a taxi to get there.

The trainers are very friendly but have limited English, so if you want to send a dog there it is recommended that you have a co-worker fill out the form. You can learn more about the training school here

Snazzy Pup

I went on an adventure today, we took the subway all the way to Jungnang Station (중랑역) to my friend Leeloo’s vet (Royal Vet).

I was a bit nervous when the human left me but I was handled carefully by a nice english speaking human (Grace) after 2 hours my human came and took me home, I was very popular on the subway.

Now I’m home and look at all the treats my human bought me while she waited~ yay!

Sick as a Dog

So on Saturday the human noticed my eye looked goopy and that I was chewing my ankle pad (like the pads on my feet but higher on my leg)

After cleaning my eye (which I hate by the way) she was I had made my pad bleed, so using micropore (medical tape) and a cotton bud she bandaged it after cleaning it with pad~repair solution that we had bought from the vet after I cut my foot on the ice.

She decided to wait and see if it cleared up, but it didnt so Monday after work she took me to Itaewon (because the vet there speaks English- they have helped us a lot) We also had to go there to pick up my blood test results which proove I’m allowed to fly to England~ yay!

I really enjoyed the taxi ride to Itaewon. Because of the humans new work schedule she was worried we wouldnt make thw office hours of the vet if we took the subway. She cracked thw window open a bit and held me up she I didnt over balance in my attempts to look out of the window~ it was awesome.

At the vet they took me away from my human, which I didnt like, but I didnt struggle, I was a good girl.

They examined me, gave me anti biotics, a real bandage for my leg, eye drops, a pain killer injection, a cone of shame and they trimmed my claws and squeezed my anal sac (sorry if thats tmi~ but I’m sharing ^^)

The human bought me some super yummy treats to keep me occupied but after a subway ride full of papparazzi

(korean girls loved my hanbok) I’m exhausted.

Walks in the Snow

I love ♥ love ♡ love ♥ love ♡ love snow.

So we usually stay on the roof of our building so that I can frolic without the human worrying. In fact she ignored me yesterday and instead of throwing snowballs for me to chase she rolled them into this.

She was quite proud of her efforts but I am not so easily impressed. Anyway today we went to emart because the human was low on treats for me and wanted to get some real food shopping done. While we we there we found these~

Playdates with Kittens!

Friday was the best day EVER!

When the human returned she played with me and the kittens and then gave the kittens a nap break and snuggled up with me to watch a Korean drama~ I was a little disapointed tjat we hadn’t gone on a walk but I love snuggles ^^

Next thing I know I’m being woken up and she is getting ready to leave! I did my best to let her know I wanted to come to by dancing around her legs and running to the door to whine. But instead of getting me ready, she put the kittens in their carrier!! I was so confused, was she taking away my new toys? Or were they getting a walk while I was left at home?!

Finally the human began getting me ready and soon we were off. After a quick potty break we were soon in a taxi ~~ the kittens were sooo noisy that I felt bad for them and tried to calm them down by letting them know that I was there too ^^

Soon we had arrived~ I could barely contain my excitement~ Leeloos house! I had a great time, I raced around and played with Leeloo and got some snuggles in with Leeloos mummy~ my second favourite human ^^

Then it was kitten time. Slowly the humans took the kittens out and let us get used to them. Leeloo fell in love with Nare (나레) whereas Maru (마루) is still my favourite ^^

It was so good to see the kittens be playful with another dog, especially one as active as Leeloo~ the human and I were worried that it was only because I was so nervous of the kittens that they played with me. They also did well with Leeloos mum, 나레 especially enjoyed her snuggle time.

We took them to the vet today just to get a checkup and they are healthy but the travel stressed them out a little too much so the next playdate should be here, and we wont put them in a taxi again until its time for them to go to their adoptive homes ^^

Leeloo’s mummy bought the kittens some new toys but they have been so tired from our busy schedule and so only played for a minute before curling up together in their box.

Me? I’m tired too! Heres my new toy which my human bought in the hope that I would like it as much as Leeloo’s rabbit

Progress and Presents at Puppy Bean

Today was an exciting but tiring day. When the human returned we went to Puppy Bean~ the dog cafe. Everyone immediately started proclaiming how cute I was~ duh! But they wanted to touch me 😦

During the course of the evening I sniffed a lot of hands which seemed to placate them a little and this is way more than I usually allow. I even deigned to play with a white haired poodle although I didnt really like it when the other dogs tried to play too. My human played for a while too so I sang and everyone thought it was funny ㅎㅎ

My friend Leeloo came with her human and gave me a huge bag of her old clothes! So excited! I’ll model those for you next time.

We walked almost the whole way home and rode a taxi the last of it. My human let me sit on her lap rather than putting me in my carry case~ it was exciting to see the world move so fast!

Anyway we are now curled up together and I thought I would show you my favourite sleeping position. On my human~ hahaha

Puppy Bean Pals

Almost every thursday my human takes me on a trip to a dog cafe called Puppy Bean~ below is a map so you can join us if you’re in Seoul

Every time I see an outfit I get excited because my human only used to let me wear them to the dog cafe~ but now that its getting colder I can wear them more often ^^ yay

Todays outfit~ not sure how the human turned the photo on its side ㅎㅎ anyway todays outfit has a korean nursery rhyme on the back translated into english~ the human was very excited about this one and kept singing it to me ~ 흘 (hul)

Although I sometimes seem super stressed~ I do enjoy myself here because I can meet my friends 봉식 (bong shik~a sheltie)

who belongs to one of the few humans I dont mind touching me. Everytime we come I get a littpe bit more confident~ today I was playing with the dogs and voluntarily sniffed some new humans~ exciting stuff ^^
